As communities in South and Central Texas face unimaginable loss following deadly floods, several celebrities have taken to social media to express their grief, offer prayers, and encourage support efforts.

What began as a natural disaster has quickly become a national heartbreak—with at least 67 lives lost, many still missing, and thousands affected.

Eva Longoria Shares Her Heartbreak From Afar

Eva Longoria, who was born and raised in Texas, opened up about how deeply this disaster has affected her.

From abroad, where she’s currently filming her docuseries Eva Longoria: Searching for France, she posted an emotional message on Instagram.

“My heart is just so heavy,” she said in a heartfelt video.

“It’s heartbreaking—the flooding, and the camp that was hit.

I know so many families who’ve gone there for years.”

She also spoke about how helpless it feels being so far away when your home state is in crisis.

Longoria added that she’d just come from church where she lit a candle and said a prayer, not just for flood victims, but also for immigrants caught in the middle of ICE raids—another issue weighing heavily on her.

Shakira Pledges Concert Proceeds to Texas Relief Efforts

Meanwhile, global music star Shakira used her San Antonio concert as an opportunity to give back.

Posting on Instagram Stories, she announced that a portion of her show’s proceeds would go to Catholic Charities of San Antonio, which is currently on the ground providing disaster relief.

“Dear San Antonio, our hearts and prayers are with those affected by the flood in Central Texas,” she wrote.

“If you want to join me in donating, please click the link below. Your help matters.”

Other Celebs Rally Resources and Support

Model and actress Christie Brinkley, country star Maren Morris, and author Katherine Schwarzenegger also stepped in to share helpful resources.

They directed their followers toward trusted organizations like the Red Cross, World Central Kitchen, Mercy Chefs, and Kerrville Pets Alive!—a group dedicated to reuniting lost pets with their families.

Miranda Lambert Urges Support for Pet Rescue Efforts

Country singer Miranda Lambert, known for her animal advocacy through her MuttNation Foundation, posted a video message to her followers.

“We’re just devastated,” she said.

“There are no words for what the people and animals in Texas are going through.”

She shared that her nonprofit is actively working to support both pet owners and animal shelters affected by the flooding.

“Keep praying,” she added, “and I’ll keep you updated as we figure out more ways to help.”

Brooklyn Decker Organizes Relief Drop-Off in Austin

Actress and activist Brooklyn Decker urged locals in Austin to donate essential supplies for affected towns like Kerrville, Ingram, and Hunt.

Items needed include canned food, bottled water, clothes, hygiene kits, and cleaning supplies—all of which can be dropped off at the Commodore Perry Estate.

Joanna Gaines Sends Prayers for Families and First Responders

TV personality Joanna Gaines also shared a heartfelt message on social media.

Her thoughts are with those still waiting to hear about missing loved ones, particularly along the Guadalupe River, where the flooding hit hardest.

“To the families, first responders, and entire communities impacted—we are praying for you,” she wrote. “We’re with you.”

The Devastating Toll of the Flood

As of Sunday morning, local officials confirmed 67 deaths—21 of them children.

Eleven girls and one counselor from Camp Mystic remain missing.

The floods, triggered by the Guadalupe River surging nearly 30 feet above normal, ripped through the children’s camp and surrounding communities, leaving heartbreak in their wake.
