Towards the end of January, the 21-year-old wonderkid was spotted at OR Tambo Airport as he arrived to report for for his first training session with Sundowns.
Nassir agreed to a two-week assessment at Chloorkop, and according to iDiski Times, Sundowns have been duly impressed and have now started negotiations with the player to secure his services.

Sundowns may have to play a waiting game

Sundowns cannot register him due to the fact their five foreign quota spots are already occupied, and although Nassir could return to his current club Ethiopian Coffee S.C for the next six months, another loan move remains a possibility.
As it stands, ‘Downs are well on their way to a staggering fifth consecutive PSL title – and a 12th all-time in what is the 26th season since the PSL-era kicked off in the 1996/97 season.
At the break for the Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON), Mamelodi Sundowns lead the way on 44 points after 19 matches.
They are a yawning 14 points ahead of second-placed Orlando Pirates with just 11 matches remaining.
Mamelodi Sundowns will next be in action in a Nedbank Cup Round of 32 clash away against Richards Bay on Friday, 4 February at 18:00.
Following that, Masandawana will be in action in a home CAF Champions League group match against Sudanese side Al-Hilal on Friday, 11 February.
