Errol Musk, father of billionaire Elon Musk, has spoken out against the claim that there is an ongoing ‘white genocide’ in South Africa.
In a recent interview, Musk Sr. dismissed these accusations, expressing his belief that black South Africans are not inclined to engage in large-scale violence against the white population.
Errol Musk Responds to White Genocide Allegations
The controversy sparked when Elon Musk, the richest person on earth, tweeted about white genocide in South Africa, claiming that mainstream media ignores the issue.
However, in an interview with Sizwe Mpofu Welsh on SMWX, Errol Musk firmly rejected the notion.
He stated that, from his experience, black South Africans are generally peaceful and not inclined toward violence.
“I know black people quite well,” Musk said. “Every black person I’ve met has been friendly and calm. I’ve never met one who was grumpy or aggressive.
Black people, by nature, are peaceful. You really have to provoke them to get them to do something extreme.”
Errol Musk Speaks About Farm Murders
While rejecting the genocide claims, Musk acknowledged the very real problem of farm murders in South Africa.
He recounted his own experience being attacked on a farm, where a gang attempted to kill him and his daughter.
Musk managed to fight back and kill three members of the gang, but he emphasized that not everyone has the training or ability to defend themselves in such situations.
“Farm murders are no joke,” he said. “I’ve been a victim of it myself. A gang came in and tried to kill me and my daughter, but I fought back.
Not everyone is lucky enough to have the skills to defend themselves like I did.”
Errol Musk Warns of White South African Defense
While dismissing the idea of a “white genocide,” Errol Musk did express concerns about the safety of white South Africans.
He warned that the white male population in the country should not be underestimated.
“White South African men are strong,” Musk said. “They’re not like European ‘wimps.’ Most of them have access to weapons and know how to use them.
If there’s any threat, they’ll defend themselves.”
Musk Reflects on South Africa’s Political Landscape
Musk also shared his thoughts on South Africa’s political situation, stating that he supports the National Government of Unity (GNU).
He believes the inclusion of all groups in governance is important for stability.
Reflecting on the changes since the end of apartheid, Musk noted that white South Africans no longer feel responsible for providing services like schools and hospitals to black people, a responsibility that was once placed on them during apartheid.
“We work for ourselves now,” he said. “We don’t feel responsible for providing for others like we once did.”
Public Reaction to Errol Musk’s Views
Errol Musk’s remarks have sparked mixed reactions, with some agreeing with his perspective and others challenging his views.
