Isabel Hodgins, the talented actress known for her role as Victoria Sugden on Emmerdale, has some wonderful news to share.
Just four months after her stunning wedding to husband Adam Whitehead, the couple are expecting their very first baby together.
And honestly, it’s a surprise even to them!
A Surprise Pregnancy for the Happy Couple
Isabel, who’s 31, revealed the news on Instagram, expressing just how quickly life changed for them.
“We wanted this to happen, but now that it actually has, it still feels a bit unreal,” she told The Mirror.
The couple were so shocked by the positive pregnancy test that they actually bought three more tests just to be sure!
Interestingly, Isabel shared that their original plan was to get married in 2026, but she realized she didn’t want to wait so long to start a family.
“I wanted to be married first, so I kept moving the dates around — but having a baby was always the goal.”
Navigating the Early Days of Pregnancy
It hasn’t been all smooth sailing for Isabel, though.
She’s been dealing with the typical ups and downs of early pregnancy, including fatigue and mood swings.
“It’s been tougher than I expected—a bit of a roller coaster.
But luckily, I haven’t been very sick, which is definitely a bonus,” she explained.
Sharing the Joy with Fans and Friends
Isabel’s Instagram post was a sweet nod to the classic rhyme: “First comes love, then comes marriage, then comes… Baby Whitehead!” It didn’t take long for her fans and fellow Emmerdale stars to flood the comments with congratulations and love.
Bradley Riches, who plays Lewis Barton, wrote: “AHHH CONGRATS XOXO.”
Lisa Riley, famous for her role as Mandy Dingle, said: “Congratulations—absolutely wonderful news, made up for you both.”
Daisy Campbell, known as Amelia Spencer, added: “Omg Iz!! So happy for you both, big congratulations.”
Even Eden Taylor Draper (Belle Dingle) chimed in with, “She’s a mommy, mamacita,” while Charley Webb simply called the news “cutest.”
