The music icon recently sat down with his godson Brooklyn Beckham and Brooklyn’s wife Nicola Peltz at the chic La Guérite restaurant, and it seems the goal was more than just lobster linguine.
Sir Elton, who’s been close friends with David and Victoria Beckham for over three decades, reportedly used the opportunity to gently intervene in the ongoing family rift that’s made headlines for months.
Elton Tries to Bring Peace to the Beckhams
According to reports, Elton briefly brought up the tension between Brooklyn and his famous parents during the lunch, trying to encourage some kind of resolution.
A video shared online even showed Brooklyn and Elton shaking hands—proof that at the very least, things were cordial.
A source close to the situation described Elton as “the showbiz equivalent of Switzerland.”
At almost 80, the legendary performer isn’t looking to stir the pot—he just wants his godson to be happy and, ideally, on good terms with his family.

The couple clearly left a good impression—Elton even picked up the bill, which included the restaurant’s signature (and pricey) lobster linguine.
A Long Friendship Rooted in Family History
The Beckhams and Elton go way back.
He was meant to sing at David and Victoria’s wedding in 1999 but was unable to attend due to a health scare.
Still, he later performed at their children’s christenings and has remained close to the family ever since.

Despite outward signs of harmony, things are still rocky behind the scenes.
Social media sleuths noticed that Brooklyn and Nicola no longer follow Brooklyn’s younger brothers, Romeo and Cruz.
Sources close to the couple claim the reverse actually happened—the brothers blocked them first.
Regardless, it’s a sign that all is not well among the Beckham siblings.
This online snub came after Brooklyn posted a birthday tribute to his sister Harper, noticeably excluding his brothers from the family photo.
The omission didn’t go unnoticed, and tensions may have flared even more.

Brooklyn’s birthday post to Harper was his first public acknowledgment of any family member since June, when he paid tribute to his grandmother.
However, the gesture did little to reassure the rest of the family, especially given the rumors that he and Nicola didn’t visit Harper during a recent trip to London—even though they were just a mile away filming an ad.
Reportedly, David and Victoria weren’t sure whether Brooklyn would contact Harper privately, highlighting how fractured communication within the family has become.
