Being a super-rich celebrity comes with its own problems – some of which an ordinary person like you and me wouldn’t believe. The world’s wealthiest man, Elon Musk can definitely agree to this after he found himself in a strange position with a teen who was tracking his private jet.

Elon Musk blocks teen who was tracking his jet after he refused a $5k offer

Elon Musk and a 19-year-old Twitter user recently had a strange exchange. This after the young man – Jack Sweeney – alerted Twitter users and Elon that he is able to track Elon’s private jet.
Jack explained that he created a Twitter account in 2020 that used small bots to collect publicly available air traffic data
After seeing that the teen was in fact not joking and so at the end of 2021, Elon reportedly offered him $5000 (R77.3k) to delete the data and stop tracking him.
Business Insider reports that Jack decided not to accept Elon’s offer and instead asked the billionaire to raise his offer to $70 000 instead.
Elon was not having it and according to Jack who had been exchanging messages with him on Twitter, the Tesla founder sounded “annoyed.”
Jack also added that the genius has since blocked him from being able to track the jet’s data.

Not giving up

Despite the fact that Elon is annoyed, Jack has vowed not to stop getting on his nerves. While explaining that Musk has since added some extra security measures to make his jet untraceable, Jack said he would find a way to track it once again.

“I just have to work around it,” Jack told Insider.

“He’ll probably be annoyed.”

“He went the opposite way of me so why wouldn’t I go the opposite way of him?”
