‘Eko On Show’ To Feature K1/Davido/D’Banj/Tiwa Savage/Teni and Others

Several Nigerian musical icons are set to headline ‘Eko On Show’, a special live festival tagged to commemorate Nigeria’s 61st Independence anniversary.‘Eko On Show’ is organised by the Lagos State Government and is set to hold on Friday, October 15 at the exquisite Muri Okunola Park, Victoria Island, Lagos.

The unique live show will be a hybrid festival featuring an exciting lineup of some of Nigeria’s top entertainment and fashion powerhouse via music concerts, fashion shows, dance production, and a tempting array of food and drink.

The Commissioner of Tourism, Arts and Culture, Uzamat Akinbile-Yusuf, while speaking during the unveiling, said Lagos is marking this year’s independence anniversary differently and thus the coming of ‘Eko On Show’.

Akinbile-Yusuf said, “This Festival is designed to raise the spirits of Lagosians, to give them inspiration, and to entertain them with the rich and vibrant culture of Lagos and its people.”

She noted that entertainment, fashion, and food are huge drivers of the State’s economy, and “they embody the spirit of our independence and have helped Nigerian culture to make its mark on the world.”

According to the Commissioner, the Festival will be headlined by musical icons like Davido, D’Banj, Tiwa Savage, Teni, and teenage sensation, Ayra Starr. These superstars will share the stage with veterans like KWAM 1, Sir Shina Peters, Dede Mabiaku, and celebrated drummer Ara.

Meanwhile, lovers of dance can look forward to a spectacular performance from the Kaffy Kreative agency. At the same time, fashion fans will be delighted by collections from top designers featuring Lanre Da Silva and Beth Models.

Also, a particular segment has been lined up for Nike Art Gallery, curated by popular media personality Azuka Ogujioba.

Despite the COVID-19 restrictions, Muri Okunola Park will host 500 lucky guests from across Lagos society, and thousands of other fun-seekers will join virtually. They will be treated to an exhilarating evening of celebrating Nigeria’s music, dance, fashion, and foods.
