Ekiti Governor- Elect, Oyebanji, receives a heartfelt congratulation from Gov. Fayemi

Dr. Kayode Fayemi, the governor of Ekiti State, has congratulated Mr. Biodun Abayomi Oyebanji for winning the state’s gubernatorial election on Saturday.

Dr. Fayemi also expressed his gratitude to the All Progressives Congress (APC) leadership for the success and to the informed electorate of Ekiti.

The All Progressives Congress (APC) candidate and former secretary to the state government, Oyebanji, has been declared the victor of the election by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), receiving a total of 187,057 votes in the hotly contested race.

In a message of congratulations sent on Sunday in Ado-Ekiti, Dr. Fayemi said Oyebanji’s triumph was well deserved and that it was an honor deserving of a man who has dedicated the previous 30 years of his life to the advancement of the state.

“Ekiti people have spoken loud and clear. The outcome of the election has shown that Ekiti people are honourable people, who always support and reward leaders who have served them diligently and faithfully.
“Oyebanji is irrevocably committed to the Ekiti project. I have no doubt that the new Governor- elect will serve Ekiti people diligently, and create opportunities for other young people to aspire to and attain great heights”
