Edo Rearrests 18 Escaped Prisoners

18 prisoners who allegedly escaped Edo prison during the  #endSars protest have been rearrested.

The police command of Edo made this known, saying it has rearrested 18 prisoners who escaped from two correctional facilities in the state during a recent jailbreak.

The prisoners were said to have escaped after the same hoodlums who attacked the #endSARS protesters also orchestrated 2 jailbreaks at Oko and Benin correctional facilities from which over 2000 inmates escaped.

The news of the rearrest was made public by the state commissioner of police, Johnson Kokumo, during the parade of some suspects on Wednesday, November 18.
