When a band like Duran Duran shows up to celebrate, you know it’s not going to be just any wedding.
Over the weekend, bassist John Taylor’s daughter, Atlanta de Cadenet, tied the knot with Canadian musician David Macklovitch in a spectacular Sicilian ceremony that felt every bit as glamorous as the family’s rock royalty status.
The 33-year-old model-turned-fashion-PR married the 47-year-old frontman of Chromeo just days after their intimate courthouse service in Brooklyn.
But while the New York ceremony was understated, their Italian celebration was pure show-stopper.
Family, Friends, and a Rainbow Moment
Atlanta stunned in a strapless gown and dramatic veil, posing beside her proud dad John Taylor against the breathtaking backdrop of a rainbow arcing over the sea.
John’s wife, Juicy Couture co-founder Gela Nash-Taylor, couldn’t resist sharing the picture-perfect moment on Instagram.
“Here comes the BRIDE BABY,” she gushed, posting images from the festivities.
“What an insanely epic wedding in Bellisima Sicilia… what a gorgeous celebration of pure love. Wishing them a lifetime of love and happiness.”
Gela herself turned heads in a relaxed off-white dress, looking youthful and radiant as she posed alongside her husband of 26 years.
A Mother’s Pride Too
Atlanta’s mother, British photographer and former TV presenter Amanda de Cadenet, was also there to celebrate her only daughter’s big day.
Once a familiar face on ‘90s shows like The Word and The Big Breakfast, Amanda has since built a career as an author and photographer in Los Angeles, raising Atlanta and later her twins with Strokes guitarist Nick Valensi.
This was as much her celebration as it was Atlanta’s, with the family coming together despite past separations.
Another Duran Duran Daughter’s Big Day
Atlanta’s wedding wasn’t the only reason for the band’s recent gatherings.
Just weeks earlier, drummer Roger Taylor proudly walked his daughter Ellea down the aisle.
Ellea, a makeup artist, wed personal trainer Shiro Miller in a breathtaking castle ceremony in Italy.
She wore a classic ivory strapless gown with a sweeping train, while her famous dad escorted her through the flower-filled venue looking sharp in a black tuxedo.
The band rallied together again for that day too, making September a month of back-to-back family celebrations for Duran Duran.
The Missing Frontman
While John, Roger, and Nick Rhodes were spotted celebrating, fans couldn’t help but notice someone missing: Simon Le Bon.
Comments quickly flooded Gela’s Instagram asking, “Where’s Simon?” But neither the band nor the frontman offered an explanation, leaving fans to speculate.
Two Ceremonies, Two Styles
The couple’s wedding story began earlier in September at a courthouse in Brooklyn, where Atlanta opted for a vintage-inspired mini dress paired with a veil and bow, while David kept it classic in a tux.
That understated service contrasted with their big Sicilian bash, where Atlanta pulled off multiple looks—including a lace mini dress styled with cat-eye sunglasses and a chic headscarf.
With Duran Duran by their side in dark shades, the new Mr. and Mrs. Macklovitch posed like true rock ‘n’ roll royalty.
Growing Up in the Spotlight
Atlanta has often spoken about her unusual upbringing with famous parents and even once joked that she tried to avoid dating musicians—though fate clearly had other plans.
Back in 2012, she admitted: “I try and avoid them but it just keeps happening. I get it, you know.
But I’m very unimpressed by most musicians. Like, unless you’re really good, don’t care.”
David, it seems, made the cut. As the frontman of Chromeo, he’s earned Grammy nods and a loyal following.
Still Rocking After Five Decades
Duran Duran, who formed in Birmingham in 1978, are still thriving nearly 50 years later.
After wrapping up a busy summer of European tour dates, the band is already gearing up for another round of shows in October before heading to the U.S. in early 2026.
Despite busy schedules, weddings have clearly been a priority this month—reminding fans that beyond the music, these rock icons are still family men at heart.
