Don’t Let Desperate Politicians Use You For Election Violence … Mrs Obiano Appeals To Anambra Youths

Wife of the Governor of Anambra State, Dr (Mrs) Ebelechukwu Obiano, has asked youths to resist attempts by desperate politicians to recruit them as violent thugs and foot soldiers for election violence.

Dr (Mrs) Obiano made the appeal while interacting with new leadership of the youth wing of Ohaneze Ndigbo, Anambra State in Awka.

Addressing the youth, the governor’s wife said that she was counting on them to join in the fight to save the future of Anambra State by throwing support behind progressive agenda and resist dire efforts by enemies of the state to use chaos as a means to selfish political ambition.

While stating that she would always remain supportive of any course that promotes youth development, Dr (Mrs) Obiano stated that her husband, Governor Willie Obiano, has replicated his belief in the productivity of young persons through inclusive democracy.

Earlier in his remarks, the President of the Youth Wing, Ohaneze Ndigbo, Anambra State, Comrade Onyedika Eweh said that the new leadership of the association came to identify with the governor’s wife because of her compassionate disposition towards the youth, and her husband’s youth-friendly policies.

Comrade Eweh also said that each youth leader has been mandated to probably mobilize youths in their respective local government areas to ensure smooth participation in the forthcoming November election.

On his part, the Secretary General, Ohaneze Ndigbo Youth Wing Worldwide, Comrade Chukwuma Okpalaezeukwu, while asking the governor’s wife to extend the gratitude of Anambra youths to her husband, said that the were prepared to participate fully in the election and deliver victory to the right candidate.
