Donald Trump hails beautiful black women walking proudly in MAGA hats while unveiling new anti-crime operation in Chicago

Donald Trump has once again turned heads with his latest remarks about his growing base of supporters in Chicago — especially those he says are defying stereotypes.

While promoting his administration’s aggressive crime-reduction efforts, the president praised what he called “beautiful black women” proudly wearing MAGA hats around the Democrat-led city.

Highlighting Unlikely Support in Chicago

Speaking to reporters, Trump painted a vivid picture of a changing Chicago, claiming that residents were embracing his message in unexpected ways.

“The people of Chicago are walking around with MAGA hats.

You have women, beautiful black women, walking around with MAGA hats,” he said.

His comments appeared to reference recent public appearances by several black female supporters who have spoken out at townhall meetings, often criticizing Mayor Brandon Johnson and the city’s leadership over rising crime.

Troop Deployment and Public Support

Trump made the remarks while defending his controversial decision to deploy National Guard troops to help stabilize what he described as “crime-ravaged Democratic cities.”

He insisted that ordinary Chicago residents had welcomed the move, claiming, “People are saying, ‘Please let the president in.

We don’t care how he does it. They just want the crime to stop.’”

The president drew comparisons to a similar initiative earlier in Washington, D.C., which he said produced dramatic results.

According to Trump, violent offenses in the capital dropped by nearly half within a month of the deployment, with overall crime rates down 18 percent.

Operation Summer Heat and Record Arrests

Flanked by FBI Director Kash Patel and Attorney General Pam Bondi, Trump held a press conference to detail his administration’s broader war on crime.

Patel shared that federal operations had led to 8,700 arrests, the seizure of 2,200 firearms, and the confiscation of massive drug shipments — including 421 kilograms of fentanyl and 45,000 kilograms of cocaine.

Authorities also secured 2,100 indictments against violent offenders.

Patel emphasized the scope of the effort, saying that from June to September, the administration executed “Operation Summer Heat” to dismantle major drug gangs.

“I hope the media takes a look at these charts,” Patel urged.

“These are the best numbers for fighting crime in U.S. history, and it’s only seven months in.”

Trump’s Message of Law and Order

Trump concluded his address by linking his domestic crime strategy to his foreign policy achievements.

“Just as we’re forging peace and stability abroad, we’re also restoring peace, safety, and stability at home,” he said, signaling that his administration would continue prioritizing law and order as a cornerstone of his agenda.

What Comes Next

As Trump continues to champion his anti-crime measures and highlight unexpected voices of support, Chicago remains at the center of the national debate on policing and public safety.

With the National Guard’s deployment showing early signs of success — at least according to federal data — the question now is whether these results can be sustained, and whether his tough-on-crime message will translate into lasting political momentum.
