Former President Donald Trump isn’t holding back in his latest attack on CBS, slamming the network for what he believes is biased reporting on his policies.
In a furious post on Truth Social, Trump called for the network to “lose their license” over what he claims are multiple instances of misinformation and bias.
Trump didn’t mince words, accusing CBS of no longer being a legitimate news outlet.
“They are not a ‘News Show,’ but a dishonest Political Operative simply disguised as ‘News,’” he wrote, demanding accountability for what he describes as the network’s “out of control” behavior.
The post included his signature call to action, “MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN!”
60 Minutes Airs Zelensky’s Interview Amid Growing Tensions
Trump’s outburst came after CBS’s 60 Minutes aired an interview with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky.
The interview, conducted by reporter Scott Pelley, aired on Sunday night and focused on the aftermath of a devastating Russian attack that claimed the lives of nine children earlier this month.
Zelensky spoke passionately about his “100 percent” hatred for Russian President Vladimir Putin, blaming him for the ongoing invasion.
The Ukrainian leader also extended an invitation to Trump, offering him the chance to visit Ukraine and witness the destruction firsthand.
Trump Responds to Coverage of Ukraine and Greenland
Trump wasted no time firing back at CBS’s coverage of the war in Ukraine and the network’s segment on his controversial proposal to annex Greenland.
In his post, the former president claimed that the war in Ukraine would not have occurred if he had won the 2020 election, asserting that the “rigged” election was to blame for the conflict.
As for the Greenland segment, Trump argued that CBS’s reporting was “false, inaccurate, and fraudulent,” insisting that it misrepresented his stance.
The segment, which aired alongside the Zelensky interview, also highlighted locals’ opinions on Trump’s proposal to buy Greenland, a plan that has sparked debate since his administration first attempted to acquire the island.
Trump’s Proposal for Greenland Faces Pushback from Locals and Denmark
It was revealed last week that Trump is considering offering a cash payout to every resident of Greenland as part of his bid to win over the island.
The former president had previously floated the idea of purchasing Greenland from Denmark, an offer that was ultimately rejected.
Reports indicate that Trump’s plan includes replacing Denmark’s $600 million in subsidies to Greenland with an annual payment of approximately $10,000 per resident.
However, both the Greenland locals and Denmark have made it clear that the island is not for sale and will not be annexed.
In the 60 Minutes interview, locals voiced their strong opposition to the idea, insisting they don’t want to become part of the United States.
Trump Ramps Up Lawsuit Against CBS Over Kamala Harris Interview
In addition to his social media tirade, Trump also renewed his criticism of 60 Minutes for its edited interview with Vice President Kamala Harris.
Last fall, Trump filed a $20 billion lawsuit against CBS, accusing the network of editing the interview to make Harris appear more polished and coherent.
Trump argued that the edits were intended to portray Harris in a favorable light, especially on issues like Ukraine’s NATO membership and the Israel-Palestine conflict.
CBS denied the accusations, but Trump remains adamant that the interview was “fraudulently” altered to benefit Harris.

Trump’s legal team is reportedly engaged in settlement talks with CBS’s parent company, but the former president isn’t backing down.

Trump has called on the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) Chairman Brendan Carr to impose harsh penalties on CBS for what he described as “unlawful and illegal behavior.”
