During a week filled with campaign stops and Oval Office briefings, President Donald Trump found time to share his unfiltered thoughts on entertainment news—everything from Howard Stern’s potential cancellation to who he thinks is the only talented person in pop culture right now.
Spoiler: it’s not Colbert or Fallon.
Trump Reacts to Rumors That Stern’s SiriusXM Show Might Be Ending
The buzz around radio legend Howard Stern possibly leaving SiriusXM made its way to the Oval Office, and Trump didn’t hold back.
When asked about the situation, Trump seemed surprised.
“Howard Stern is a name I haven’t heard—I used to do his show, we used to have fun—but I haven’t heard that name in a long time,” he said.
Though Stern hasn’t officially been dropped, reports suggest serious negotiations around his $500 million contract haven’t gone well.
His deal runs out at the end of the year.
Still, that didn’t stop Trump from speculating.
“What happened, he got terminated?” he asked, before taking a dig: “You know when he went down? When he endorsed Hillary Clinton.
He lost his audience. People said, get me a break.”
Trump Says Late Night Hosts Are “Next to Go”
It wasn’t just Stern on the president’s radar.
Trump also threw shade at several late-night talk show hosts, starting with Stephen Colbert.
“Colbert has no talent,” Trump said bluntly.
“I could take anybody here—I could go outside to the beautiful streets and pick a couple of people that would do just as well or better. They’d get higher ratings than he did.”
Colbert’s Late Show is set to end in May, but Trump didn’t stop there.
He went on to bash Jimmy Fallon and Jimmy Kimmel, predicting they’ll be gone soon too.
“Fallon has no talent. Kimmel has no talent. They’re next. I hear they’re going,” Trump claimed.
The One Celebrity Trump’s a Fan Of? Sydney Sweeney
Not everyone in the entertainment world got criticized, though.
Trump had nothing but praise for actress Sydney Sweeney after learning she’s a registered Republican.
He was told the news while speaking with reporters at Lehigh Valley International Airport in Pennsylvania, just before flying back to D.C. from his Bedminster golf resort.
“She’s a registered Republican?” he asked, clearly intrigued.
“You’d be surprised at how many people are Republican.
That’s one I wouldn’t have known, but I’m glad you told me.”
He even complimented her political ad, saying, “If Sydney Sweeney is a registered Republican, I think her ad is fantastic.”
Trump Doubles Down With a Meme From the White House Rooftop
The former president didn’t just stop at verbal praise—he took to Truth Social to shout out Sweeney again.
In true Trump fashion, he posted a meme of himself yelling from the White House rooftop, referencing her political ad.
The caption read: “Have you seen the Sydney Sweeney ad?”—further confirming that when it comes to pop culture, Trump still wants to have the last word.
