DEWA receives over 7,000 ideas on Afkari in 2021
DUBAI, 12th February, 2022 – Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (DEWA) received over 7,000 ideas in 2021 through Afkari internal platform to encourage DEWA’s employees to innovate and create.
This raises the number of thoughts received by the platform since 2015 to over 47,000 ideas.
Last year, DEWA organised 9 campaigns, 86 workshops and 78 brainstorming sessions, to encourage employees to participate in DEWA’s initiatives and projects, listen to their ideas and study their suggestions.
Saeed Mohammed Al Tayer, MD & CEO of DEWA, said, “DEWA works through the ideas programme to promote a culture of innovation among its employees and all society.
It depends on innovation as a key pillar for its work and corporate strategy.
We are steadily preparing for the next 50 years and building a sustainable future.
“The interaction between DEWA’s employees with Afkari platform shows that they understand their responsibility and commitment to advancing public works and the working environment.
This is through suggesting their ideas to achieve more success.
It also enhances communication with employees and develops DEWA’s services to its customers, partners, and employees.
”
Afkari enables employees to vote and comment on other employees’ ideas and work together to share best practices.
The programme enables DEWA to capture employee driven ideas, providing a central repository to manage innovation, and ensure continuous improvement and development.
