Delegates elect senator Nyako APC Senate Party Flagbearer for Adamawa Central

Former Senator Representing Adamawa Central Senatorial Zone Abdulaziz Murtala Nyako has been declared senatorial candidate of the All Progressives Congress APC for the central during Senate APC Primary election.

At Lelewal Motel Yola venue of the election, three hundred and seventy nine delegates were accredited out of the three hundred and eighty delegates assigned for conducting the election.

Announcing the outcome of the primaries, the Chairman electoral Committee for the election, Doctor Muazu Shehu declared senator Abdulaziz Nyako winner having got two hundred and ninety two, followed by Ahmed Musa seventy two votes Doctor Umaru Bindir thirteen votes while two votes were declared invalid.

The Chairman expressed delight with the manner in which delegates and other Party faithfuls conducted themselves and described the election as peaceful.

Responding after been declared winner, senator Abdulaziz Murtala Nyako thanked delegates for giving him mandate under APC.

He lauded his opponents for their understanding.
