Dapper Laughs, whose real name is Daniel O’Reilly, recently found himself in a tough spot after a stag party accident.
What was meant to be a fun celebration quickly turned serious when he fell off a golf cart and ended up in the hospital’s A&E.
This wasn’t his first mishap involving a golf cart either — he revealed this was actually his second accident of this kind.
On Thursday, Daniel shared a candid update on social media, explaining the pain he was in after the fall.
“I didn’t expect to end up here, A&E. Portugal’s been harsh,” he said, describing how he hurt his back so badly he could barely speak.
He detailed how he took a hard hit, twisting left and right before being thrown off the cart.
Sharing the Pain Online
Not one to shy away from showing the reality, Dapper Laughs posted a video of the incident where you can hear the sounds of the accident.
He described the moment vividly, pointing out how his back made clicking noises when he bent down to pick up his phone after the fall — a clear sign of serious injury.
He also mentioned that people at the clubhouse saw what happened.
Alongside the video, he joked about how he was the only sober one on the stag do but still managed to get hurt.
“Me and golf carts just don’t mix… Praying I ain’t hurt myself,” he wrote.
To add to the story, Daniel shared throwback photos of a previous golf cart accident, showing a swollen ankle and a shot of himself resting during recovery.
From Comedy Fame to Controversy
Dapper Laughs became a household name back in 2014 thanks to his stand-up comedy and persona as a pick-up artist, gaining widespread popularity.
However, his rise came to a sudden halt after a shocking joke about an audience member and accusations of misogyny surfaced.
The backlash was swift, with a campaign demanding ITV drop him from their lineup.
Eventually, ITV decided not to renew his show, Dapper Laughs: On The Pull.
In November of that year, he appeared on Newsnight and announced that he was retiring the Dapper Laughs character indefinitely.
Yet, just a month later, he brought the character back.
Controversy Continues on Big Brother
Dapper’s return wasn’t without issues.
On Celebrity Big Brother (CBB), he stirred up more trouble with inappropriate remarks about his female housemates, including a particularly offensive joke about Ann Widdecombe.
Despite trying to clean up his act during the show, he faced tough questions after eviction on ITV’s Loose Women.
Panelist Nadia Sawalha didn’t hold back, pointing out that while Dapper seemed remorseful, he still had a lot to learn about respecting others.
Daniel admitted his mistake broke his heart, especially because it hurt so many people.
He also spoke about the importance of reconciling with Maggie Oliver — the former police officer who helped expose the Rochdale grooming scandal — describing her as a friend who helped him face his errors.

When asked about the incident that damaged his career, Daniel was upfront: the comment was “flippant” and made in a moment of showing off.
He acknowledged it was a stupid thing to say and that he got carried away.
