Following Tottenham Hotspur’s 6-1 loss to Newcastle, Danny Rose, former Tottenham and England teammate of Harry Kane, has claimed that Kane “deserves better than this.”
Kane, Spurs’ captain and all-time leading goal-scorer, was unable to help his team as they conceded five goals to the Magpies in just 20 minutes.

Although he did manage to score a goal, it was not enough to prevent the loss.
Kane’s contract is set to expire in a year, and the result of the game has prompted speculation about his future with the club.
Rose, who played alongside Kane for over a decade, believes that the defeat would have left him wanting better for himself.
Rose, who was lending his punditry skills to Sky Sports, said, “For me, I can imagine him just being sat there, as everyone in football does, thinking ‘I deserve better than this,’ and I just hope he gets it.”
Kane’s Future and Lack of Trophies

Kane, who is on course to break the Premier League goal-scoring record, has not won a single trophy in his career due to Spurs’ lack of decisiveness when it matters most.
He pushed for a move to Manchester City in the summer of 2021, but the deal fell through due to Tottenham chairman Daniel Levy’s exorbitant fee demands.
However, several clubs, including Manchester United and Bayern Munich, still hold a strong interest in Kane.
The Telegraph recently reported that Manchester United has opened talks with Spurs over a potential sale, but the club would have to pay a staggering £100 million for the ageing star.
With Kane’s contract set to expire in a year, Tottenham will have to decide whether to sell him now or risk losing him for free.
Commentary
Harry Kane’s future at Tottenham has been the subject of much speculation for a while now, especially after his push for a move to Manchester City fell through in the summer.
The recent loss to Newcastle has only added fuel to the fire, with pundits and fans offering their predictions on where Kane might end up next.
Rose’s comments on Kane’s mindset are significant, given that he knows the striker’s mentality better than most.
Tottenham will have to make a tough decision regarding Kane’s future, and it remains to be seen whether he will stay or go.
