Police Warn Public of Violent Robber’s Escape from Prison
On Monday, April 3, a violent robber escaped from HMP Sudbury in Derbyshire, prompting a warning from the police to the public to be on guard.
Lewis Pinches, 23, absconded from the open prison at 8:45pm, where he was serving a six-year prison sentence for robbery and causing grievous bodily harm at Wolverhampton Crown Court.

Physical Description and Known Locations
Lewis Pinches is 5ft 9ins tall, of a slim build, with brown/blonde hair and blue eyes.
He is also known by the names Lewis Birch and Lewis Bridges and has connections to the West Midlands areas of Walsall, Brownhills, and Blakenhall, as well as Porthcawl in South Wales.
When last seen, he was wearing a dark jacket, dark sweatshirt, dark jogging bottoms, black trainers, and a baseball cap with a dark blue and grey pattern and a small logo on the back.
