In an unexpected moment during Wednesday’s episode of Celebrity Big Brother, Daley Thompson, the legendary decathlete and two-time Olympic gold medalist, left his fellow housemates in shock as he recounted his funny and rather awkward first encounter with none other than David Beckham.
Daley Reveals His “Rude” Moment with Beckham
The amusing tale unfolded during a game of “Never Have I Ever,” where the question was posed by Angellica Bell: “Never have I ever been rude to a fan.” To everyone’s surprise, Daley raised his hand.
The room was soon filled with laughter when JoJo Siwa encouraged him to stand up and share the story behind his admission.
Daley began by recalling a time during his training at Crystal Palace when he was practicing pole vaulting.
“I was really focused on my session when this kid came up and asked for my autograph,” Daley explained.
“I told him, ‘Not now, I’m busy,’ but he insisted because his school was only there for an hour.”
Daley continued, saying, “I finally told him, ‘Sorry, son, you can’t have my autograph.’ The kid walked away, and that was that.”
The Surprising Twist: Beckham Was the Fan
Years later, Daley had a chance meeting with the same boy, who, now an adult, reminded him of the encounter, adding, “You told me to f*** off.”
Daley’s response? “I wasn’t sure I did… but it turns out it was David Beckham!” The housemates gasped in disbelief as Jack P. Shepherd exclaimed, “That’s brilliant!” Chesney Hawkes also chimed in, amused, “That’s a good one!” Daley jokingly added, “And he’s a lying git.”

“My first nomination is Ella, because I haven’t seen her wash a pot while we’ve been here.
It’s really annoying!” He continued, “Even Chris, who does nothing, has washed up more times. Ella hasn’t touched the sink yet.”
On the flip side, JoJo made her nomination, saying, “I need everybody to put your seatbelt on.
With so much love for this man, I’m going to say Danny.”
JoJo explained that despite both she and Danny being part of the LGBTQ community, she felt that their relationship had grown distant in the house.
“I’ve made an effort to talk to him, but a lot of the time those efforts get ignored,” she admitted.
