The number of verified Covid-19 infections has risen to 251,959, with no deaths reported in Nigeria on Saturday, January 22nd, 2022.
Across its daily report on Coronavirus, the Nigerian Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) stated that 225,946 cases have been discharged and 3124 deaths have been documented in 36 states and the Federal Capital Territory of the country.
According to NCDC, the new cases are reported from 8 states, with Lagos State, Southwest Nigeria, having the highest with 27 new cases.
In further report from NCDC, Kano and River State has one case each.
Meanwhile, a multi-sectoral national emergency operations centre (EOC), activated at Level 3, continues to coordinate the national response activities.
