According to coroner’s results issued on Wednesday, Anne Heche died of an inhalation injury and burns following her catastrophic car accident, and her death was deemed accidental.

According to information on the website of the Los Angeles County Medical Examiner-Coroner, Heche, 53, also suffered a cracked sternum caused by “blunt trauma.”

The coroner’s office stated that an autopsy report was still being finalized.

The Emmy-winning film and television actor’s life support was turned off at a burn center on Sunday. On August 5, she was hurt when her automobile jumped a curb and crashed into a residence in West Los Angeles. The automobile and the house both caught fire. Heche alone was harmed.

According to a statement made last week on behalf of her family and friends, Heche suffered a “severe anoxic brain injury” caused by a lack of oxygen.

Brain-dead, she was kept on life support until her organs could be harvested for donation.

Heche’s blood sample included narcotics, according to the detectives investigating the accident. However, the probe was terminated once she was certified brain dead.

The coroner’s office stated her date of death as August 11th.

In the late 1980s, Heche rose to fame on the NBC serial opera “Another World” before becoming one of Hollywood’s hottest actresses in the late 1990s. She appeared frequently on magazine covers and in high-budget films alongside celebrities such as Johnny Depp and Harrison Ford.
