Brazilian Mayor’s Teen Bride and His Daughter’s Lavish Lifestyle
The mayor of Araucaria, Hissam Hussein Dehaini, a 65-year-old man who has reportedly been married six times before and has 16 children, has recently married a 16-year-old girl named Kauane Rode Camargo.
The new bride is the daughter of the mayor’s former employee.
Reports reveal that the teenager participated in the Miss Araucária contest and was the runner-up in the teen category last year, the day before her wedding was her 16th birthday.
The mayor’s daughter, Yasmim Hissam, who is in her mid-twenties, is much older than Kauane and has a high position as a Municipal Secretary of Administration, receiving a salary that is more than enough to fund her luxurious lifestyle, which she often shares on her Instagram account.
Family Members Employed in the Municipal Administration
The mayor’s relatives were among the employees in the municipal administration, including two daughters, a daughter-in-law, and an ex-wife.
The total salaries of the mayor’s relatives amount to over R$ 97,000 (£15,000) per month, with Yasmim receiving £3,450 monthly.
Her father’s salary, as the mayor, is R$ 17,940.27 (£2,900).
On her Instagram account, Yasmim frequently posts pictures of her father and her sisters, including one captioned “Your Hissam and his girls!”
People commented on the post, questioning the stepmother’s absence and the presence of a young child on the mayor’s lap.
Possible Investigation of Nepotism
According to O Globo, authorities have announced that there have been or are ongoing investigations regarding the nepotism allegations in the municipal administration.
The mayor has since resigned from his position, following the backlash after his marriage to the teenager was revealed.
His former party has also been left by him after the controversy broke out.
