Comedian Pete Davidson stuns the panel as he walks into Shark Tank to pitch a bold $500000 investment for socks in Los Angeles studio

What do you get when a Saturday Night Live star swaps punchlines for pitch decks?

A Shark Tank moment that nobody saw coming.

Pete Davidson is stepping into the business world in a big way, and his latest move has left the sharks completely stunned.

Pete Davidson’s Bold Pitch

Davidson, 31, best known for his offbeat humor and high-profile appearances, shocked the panel when he joined the season 17 premiere of Shark Tank with a pitch that had everyone’s eyebrows raised.

Teaming up with entrepreneur Ben Rosenbaum, founder of DoubleSoul, Pete walked into the tank asking for an eye-popping $500,000 in exchange for just 4% of their sock company.

Sharks Left Staring in Surprise

The moment Pete entered the stage alongside Rosenbaum, the sharks—Robert Herjavec, Lori Greiner, Kevin O’Leary, plus guest investors Kendra Scott and Rashaun Williams—were visibly floored.

Nobody expected a Hollywood comedian with a reported $20 million net worth to be pitching socks, of all things.

What Makes These Socks Different?

Pete and Ben explained that DoubleSoul isn’t about your average pair of socks from the big-box bin at the mall.

“They’re not boring athletic socks or quirky novelty socks,” Rosenbaum explained.

“We combined the best of both worlds to create an everyday sock that actually feels and looks great.”

Pete chimed in with his own story: “I get sent tons of stuff, and usually I just give it away.

But when I got DoubleSoul socks, I kept them. I loved them so much that I wanted to join the team right away.”

Trying to Win Over the Sharks

As part of their pitch, the duo handed out samples, hoping the sharks would be impressed enough to buy in.

“We picked out some of our best pairs for you guys to try,” Rosenbaum said enthusiastically.

But whether the sharks bite—or simply laugh the pitch off—remains a mystery until the episode airs on September 24.

Socks With a Mission

Beyond comfort, DoubleSoul brands itself as eco-conscious and stylish.

They market their products as “creative, expressive basics that feel amazing, look cool, and are easy on the planet.”

From Pilates grip socks to ultrahigh styles, the company offers variety while keeping sustainability in mind.

Pete’s Role as Creative Director

Davidson officially came on board as the brand’s creative director last December.

Speaking about the partnership in an interview, he said, “Everyone needs socks.

Usually, they’re just an afterthought—something you grab in bulk at the store or at a gas station.

DoubleSoul makes them fun, comfy, and even a little sexy.”

More Than Just Another Celebrity Brand?

While Pete admits he gets approached with countless business opportunities, this one felt different.

“A lot of people come to me with ideas, and I usually pass,” he shared.

“But this felt interesting, and it was something I could actually get behind.”

The Big Question

Now all eyes are on the premiere to see whether Pete Davidson’s star power and Rosenbaum’s vision will convince the sharks to sink their teeth into DoubleSoul—or send them packing.
