Ciara Janson Accuses Eurovision Winner Måns Zelmerlöw of Toxic Behavior and Infidelity as Their Divorce Shakes Sweden

Hollyoaks star Ciara Janson has spoken out following her split from her husband, Eurovision winner Måns Zelmerlöw.

The actress, best known for her role as Nicole Owen on the soap, launched a public attack on her ex-husband, accusing him of toxic behavior and infidelity as their divorce plays out.

Accusations and Public Statement

The 37-year-old actress didn’t hold back in a statement following the divorce news, which was first reported in Sweden.

Ciara, who shares two sons with Måns—Albert, 6, and Ossian, 2—also has a child named Archie from a previous relationship.

In a fiery post, Ciara revealed her decision to file for divorce in the UK to keep things private but admitted that she now felt the need to speak out.

“I have stayed quiet and protected my ex-husband for too long,” Ciara wrote.

“It’s important that I speak my truth and finally stand my ground.

My children have always been my priority, and I will do everything to protect them and be the mother they deserve.”

Ciara went on to describe the difficult environment in which she had been living, saying, “I cannot allow my family to live in a hostile environment exposed to drug abuse, emotional, physical abuse, and endless infidelity anymore.”

She ended her message with a note of encouragement for others in similar situations: “I encourage anyone going through something like this to seek help and find the strength to take control of their life.

Everyone deserves happiness and freedom.”

Ciara’s Well Wishes for Måns

Despite their differences, Ciara took a moment to express her hopes for Måns’ future.

“I wish Måns all the best for his future endeavors and hope he seeks the help he needs,” she wrote.

“While this chapter is closing, I wish him nothing but a path toward a better future.”

She also expressed gratitude for the love and support she’s received during this challenging time.

“Thank you to everyone who has supported me,” she added.

Måns Zelmerlöw Responds

Måns Zelmerlöw’s lawyer, Hanna Lindblom, responded to Ciara’s accusations, calling them “extremely serious.”

Speaking to Swedish media outlet Expressen, Lindblom stated, “It’s not unusual for one of the parties in a divorce to make accusations, but this is a very serious matter. We can’t comment further at this time.”

Måns, who rose to fame after winning Eurovision in 2015 with his song “Heroes,” is currently focusing on the well-being of his children, his lawyer said.

“Måns’ only focus right now is his children. He’s keeping it together for them.”

Divorce and Legal Proceedings

The couple’s decision to divorce became public when Måns filed the papers earlier this week.

Under Swedish law, because they have two children together, they must wait six months before the divorce can be finalized.

A source close to the couple explained, “It’s correct that Måns has recently filed for divorce.

It’s a tough decision, especially for a parent of young children and a public figure.

We ask for privacy and understanding as they navigate this difficult time.”

A Look Back at Their Relationship

Måns and Ciara met in 2016 after he ended a long-term relationship with Swedish singer and model Marie Serneholt.

They got engaged soon after, and in 2017, they announced they were expecting their first child.

Their first son, Albert, was born in 2018, and the couple tied the knot in 2019.

In 2022, they welcomed their second child, Ossian.

The family lived on a vineyard in Staffanstorp, Sweden, though Ciara would travel back to the UK every other week to see her son from her previous relationship.

A Family’s Privacy During a Tough Time

Now that news of the divorce is public, both parties are hoping for privacy as they deal with this difficult chapter in their lives.

For the sake of their children, both Ciara and Måns are asking for respect and understanding as they move forward.
