Chiefs’ Itumeleng Khune: ‘We all fall down in life’

Can Kaizer Chiefs fans ever witness the very best of Itumeleng Khune again? Or is it a matter of nothing can ever really be the same no matter how hard you try?
KAIZER CHIEFS SUPERSTAR ITUMELENG KHUNE ADMITS TO FALLING
The former Bafana Bafana number has taken to social media to post a video of a great save he made in the DStv Compact Cup last month.
The post also included words of immense humility while also attempting to encourage anyone of us who may still be trying to rise after a fall.
The Kaizer Chiefs goalkeeper has spent the past two seasons and a half on the fringes of the team. The reasons ranged from injury, loss of form, personal life issues, and weight gain.
With the 2021/22 second round of the season set to restart for Amakhosi, the Ventersdorp-born keeper has been saying he is ready to prove he is still one of the best, if not THE best goalkeeper in the land.

KHUNE ADDRESSES HIS RETIREMENT SUGGESTION
In another recent moment, a fan posted a tweet on the Twitter platform about Khune’s future, the 34-year-old keeper was quick to send out a firm reply.
The Twitter user with the handle @oyama_yaya simply imagined how emotional it would be to witness Kaizer Chiefs’ Khune retire one day.
“Khune deserves a farewell match. I’ll shed tears when he retires,” he said.
The legendary goalkeeper, who is sometimes known as “Mzansi’s number one,” responded with a short but firm statement. The veteran suggested that the idea is still a distant possibility.
“I’m not going to retire anytime soon Fam,” Khune said before adding a wink and praying hands emojis.
There were sure to be a few passionate comments on the post. One of the few that caught the eye will surely inspire Khune. The user @TheRealJobe7 said: “Plz keep playing you still have a lot to contribute, look to the likes of Buffon, Ahmed from Egypt, and Iker Casillas. You are of the same caliber.”
Meanwhile, is coach Stuart Baxter going to name the player known as “Mzansi’s number one” against TS Galaxy in the Nedbank Cup last 32 this weekend?
