A Chief Nursing Officer at Oba Two Health Center, Idemili South Local Government Area, Mrs. Lorita Uchechukwu-Olisa has advised people to start eating natural foods to enthrone healthy living.

Mrs. Uchechukwu-Olisa, who gave the advice in an interview with our correspondent Njideka Okoye at Saint Stephen’s Anglican Church Oba, advocated  planned diet, regular drinking of water and control of hunger if not fasting for healthy living.

She maintained that people of all ages should watch what they eat and drink as good nutrition matters a lot, even in children as according to her, malnutrition in children causes sicknesses that might lead to their death, noting that what people eat and drink can either expose them to certain diseases or lead them to good health.

Mrs. Uchechukwu-Olisa listed steps for a healthy living to include eating a balance diet, adequate drinking of water, physical exercise, rest, maintaining personal and environmental hygiene and being in a good state of mind among others.

She urged people to reduce intake of salt, carbohydrate, sugar, tin or can foods and spices but resort to eating of more vegetables, fruits, and fish among others to enjoy healthy living.
