Get ready for some serious sugar and spice on your screens – because Celebrity Bake Off is about to get a fresh new twist.
And it’s not just the contestants who are changing things up – a bold, beloved, and brilliantly sharp new judge is reportedly stepping into the tent.
Cherish Finden Rumoured to Join as New Celebrity Judge
According to The Sun, the next series of Celebrity Bake Off, which will hit screens in 2026, is bringing in none other than Cherish Finden as a new judge.
If you’ve watched Bake Off: The Professionals, you’ll already know her as the no-nonsense pastry perfectionist who doesn’t miss a single crumb.
With a career spanning more than two decades, Cherish is no stranger to high standards and international acclaim.
She’s collected numerous awards, and her résumé includes an Olympic gold medal in the Culinary Olympics – yes, that’s a real thing, and yes, she won.
A Culinary Queen with Global Roots
Cherish’s journey to stardom started early.
Born and raised in Singapore, she began working at the age of 14 and enrolled in culinary school at just 16.
Her passion quickly took her into the kitchens of some of Singapore’s most luxurious hotels, including the famous six-star Raffles Hotel.
Now based in the UK, she’s the Executive Pastry Chef at the prestigious Langham Hotel in London, where her afternoon tea creations have earned her legendary status.
From Royal Cakes to MasterChef Screens
This isn’t Cherish’s first time in front of the camera.
She’s already well-known in the food TV circuit, having made appearances on MasterChef UK, Junior Bake Off, Australian MasterChef, and An Extra Slice.
Oh – and she once made a Windsor Castle-shaped cake for Queen Elizabeth II’s 90th birthday. No big deal.
Stepping In After Prue’s Exit from the Specials
Cherish’s arrival comes just months after Prue Leith, 85, announced she’d be stepping away from all Bake Off specials.
While she’ll still be seen alongside Paul Hollywood in the flagship series, Prue has handed over the spin-off responsibilities.
Her spot was briefly filled by Caroline Waldegrave, a 72-year-old food writer, for the latest edition – but it seems the producers are looking for a longer-term replacement.
A Star-Studded Cast for the Next Charity Edition
The upcoming Stand Up To Cancer celebrity special is already looking pretty packed.
First up is actress Ambika Mod, who won hearts in This Is Going To Hurt and One Day.
She’ll be rolling up her sleeves alongside Vicky Pattison from Geordie Shore, comedian Babatunde Aleshe, and Love Island alum Molly-Mae Hague.
Also joining the flour-flecked fun are JoJo Siwa (of Celebrity Big Brother fame), singer RAG ‘N’ Bone Man, broadcaster Edith Bowman, and 8 Out of 10 Cats regular Jon Richardson.
With a line-up like that and Cherish’s famously high standards, viewers can expect plenty of laughs – and maybe a few frosted meltdowns.
When and Where to Watch
If you’re already marking your calendar, keep Tuesdays at 8pm free – that’s when The Great British Bake Off typically airs on Channel 4.
Whether it’s cakes, chaos, or celebrity charm you’re tuning in for, the tent is promising another unforgettable series.
