A Pattern of Thefts Surrounding Chelsea Stars
This incident comes amid a broader trend of unsettling security breaches involving Chelsea players over recent years.
Big names like Raheem Sterling and Reece James have previously been victims of home invasions.
Sterling’s home was targeted while he was away at the 2022 World Cup with England.
The burglars made off with £300,000 worth of Rolex watches, prompting Sterling to fly back from Qatar to support his family before rejoining the national squad.
The man behind the break-in, serial burglar Emiliano Krosi, was later jailed for 13 years in 2024.
Krosi had been linked to 32 other burglaries across the South East of England.
Reece James Also Targeted in Medal Heist
Sterling wasn’t the only one hit. Chelsea captain Reece James also experienced a traumatic burglary in December 2021, while he was playing in a Champions League match.
The intruders managed to steal a safe that included James’ Champions League winner’s medal and his Euro 2020 runners-up medal.
