For years, George Northwood—celebrity hairstylist to the likes of Meghan Markle and Alexa Chung—never thought fatherhood would be part of his story.

Growing up gay, he admits the dream felt out of reach.

But now, at 46, the Luton-born stylist is preparing for one of the biggest chapters of his life: becoming a dad through surrogacy.

Counting Down to Fatherhood

Northwood recently revealed that his surrogate, a 35-year-old woman, is only weeks away from embryo implantation.

Medical checks are complete, insurance is sorted, and the countdown has officially begun.

“With a baby here this time next year, I’m finding myself wanting to squeeze a lot out of this summer,” he said, reflecting on the fast-moving process.

“I know life’s going to change a lot, so I want to enjoy these last carefree months.

Everything’s suddenly happening pretty quickly now.”

Cressida Bonas Shares Baby Joy with a Touching Tribute

In a different kind of family update, actress Cressida Bonas—once known for dating Prince Harry—has introduced her newborn daughter to the world.

Alongside the first photo of baby Delphina Pandora Wentworth-Stanley, Bonas shared a heartfelt message about her late sister.

“Sometimes, when I look into her eyes, I see a twinkle that reminds me of my sister Pandora,” she wrote.

The baby’s middle name, Pandora, is a tribute to her half-sister who sadly passed away last July at age 51.

Cressida and her husband, property investor Harry Wentworth-Stanley, welcomed their first child, son Wilbur, in 2022.

Wimbledon Mystery as Former Star Banned from Club

While celebrities from David Beckham to Russell Crowe have been spotted enjoying Wimbledon this week, one famous face was noticeably missing.

Christopher “Buster” Mottram, a former British No. 1 tennis player, has reportedly been banned from the All England Lawn Tennis and Croquet Club since 2023.

In his new autobiography The Man Who Saved Wimbledon, Roger Taylor—Mottram’s predecessor—shed light on the situation, saying Buster had been “frozen out by the establishment” over his controversial views and behavior.

Despite an impressive career, including representing Great Britain in the Davis Cup and reaching world No. 15 twice, Mottram never became a permanent club member.

Taylor added, “It’s been very sad to watch his exclusion, even if much of it was down to his own failings.”

The All England Club has remained tight-lipped, simply stating, “We don’t comment on our membership.”

Fearne Cotton Finds New Peace in Ibiza After Separation

TV presenter Fearne Cotton may have once embraced Ibiza’s wild party scene, but these days, she’s exploring the island’s softer side.

Recently separated from husband Jesse Wood, the 43-year-old says she’s now drawn to the more soulful corners of the Spanish getaway.

“We’ve all had Ibiza experiences we can’t remember,” she joked, while promoting a travel platform.

“That’s why I’m back with Get Your Guide—and this time I promise I won’t forget it.”

Fearne even got “new beginnings” tattooed on her hip, and she’s sharing her favorite hidden spots for yoga and mindfulness.

Royal Goddaughter Turns Billionaire Wedding into DIY Art

In a cheeky take on high-society weddings, Angelica Hicks—King Charles’s goddaughter and artist—poked fun at Jeff Bezos and Lauren Sanchez’s extravagant £20 million ceremony.

Using only household items, Hicks recreated Lauren’s lavish Dolce & Gabbana lace gown, complete with a mosquito net veil, a phone charger cord, and a chopped-up pillowcase.

“Sorry Mama, it must be sacrificed in the name of art,” she joked online, poking fun at the ease of buying such materials through Amazon Prime.

The parody was eerily accurate, all while cleverly calling out the spectacle of wealth.

E. L. James Still Rolling in the Millions

E. L. James, the author behind Fifty Shades of Grey, is still earning eye-watering sums from her steamy book empire.

New company accounts show that Fifty Shades Ltd—which handles her earnings—posted a tidy £3 million profit last year.

The company’s reported wealth now totals an impressive £69.5 million, including £48.4 million in City assets and nearly £23 million in cash.

Even over a decade since Fifty Shades first broke the internet, the author continues to dominate the literary bank account charts.

A Family Moment in the House of Lords

And finally, an unexpected bit of political theatre unfolded in the House of Lords this week.

Victoria Prentis, the former Attorney General, delivered her maiden speech—only to be followed directly by her father, Lord Boswell, giving his retirement remarks.

“For full disclosure, I ought to declare that she is my daughter,” he said with a smile.

The baton of public service has officially been passed from one generation to the next.
