The Miyetti Allah Cattle Breeders Association of Nigeria (MACBAN), has commended Sen. Danjuma La’ah (PDP – Kaduna South), over his “immense contribution towards peace building in the senatorial zone.”
Alhaji Hussaini Bosso, Acting National President of the association, made the commendation in Kafanchan at a one-day conference organised for pastoralists village heads and youth leaders in Southern Kaduna.
Bosso, who was represented by the FCT Chairman of MACBAN, Yahaya Isah, described La’ah as “a detribalised leader who works around-the-clock to ensure sustenance of peace in the area.”
He reiterated the commitment of the association toward restoring peaceful coexistence in the area.
“We want those glorious days back,” he said.
The Chairman said that his people were itching for the return of the past glorious days because those of them that had settled in Southern Kaduna do not have any other place to claim as their home.
In his remarks, the Chairman, Kaduna State chapter of MACBAN, Alhaji Haruna Tugga, thanked the senator for providing the group with the venue to organise the conference.
Tugga also restated the resolve of MACBAN to promote peaceful coexistence in Southern Kaduna.
The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that a lot of communities in the South of Kaduna have come under attacks that claimed many lives.
The attackers, usually in droves, have also burnt houses, shops, cars and motorcycles.
Kagoro, an urban community in Kaura Local Government, came under one of such deadly attacks at the weekend.
The attacks claimed many lives with the Kaduna state government confirming that 37 people were killed. (NAN)
