TV presenters Carol Vorderman and Alison Hammond have expressed their admiration for sports bras, saying they prevent “everything jiggling around”.
This came after a segment on This Morning about how sports bras improve women’s running times and should be seen as essential sporting equipment.
Proper support improved running times by 4.2 seconds per minute, according to researchers.
Alison, who joked that sports bras improved her running time by eight seconds, stated her love for sports bras, while Carol said they “save you from getting two black eyes” and stop everything from “jiggling about”.
They both agreed that the relief of taking off a sports bra after exercise was palpable.
The presenters’ comments came ahead of the London Marathon, with co-presenter Nick Ferrari weighing in on the discussion by saying that men also need “support” in their underpants to avoid chafing.
In other news, Carol, who is famous for her curves, has made a surprising admission about her last stint on I’m A Celebrity.
She admitted to having “lied to everyone” about being scared of things she wasn’t genuinely afraid of, such as heights.
The presenter will be returning to the jungle for the All-Stars edition of the show in South Africa.
She urged everyone to enjoy the show and have fun, adding that she still keeps in touch with the WhatsApp group from her last stint on the show.
Overall, the comments about sports bras made by the presenters provide an interesting insight into how important the right support can be for female athletes.
The segment highlights the role of sports bras in enhancing performance, while Carol’s comments about her time on I’m A Celebrity add a touch of humor to the discussion.
