Car crashes into a lake in Benoni leaving one dead

This morning, a man was killed when his light motor vehicle went over roadside barriers and crashed into a lake along the N12 after the Tom Jones offramp in Benoni.

At 06:08, ER24 and many towing services arrived on the scene to discover the vehicle far into the lake.

ER24 personnel used the recovery van to bring the car to the nearby banks with assistance from a towing service personnel.

Doctors investigated further and discovered a man’s body lying inside the car. Sadly, the man had no signs of life. He was pronounced dead because nothing could be done to save him.

Although the full circumstances of this tragedy remain unknown, local authorities were on the site to conduct additional investigations.
