Calvin Klein may be 83, but he showed on Monday that age hasn’t slowed his routine—or his relationship.
The fashion icon was spotted leaving Gold’s Gym in Venice, Los Angeles, alongside his longtime partner, model Kevin Baker, 37.
The two walked out together casually, looking relaxed and in sync after their workout.
Matching Looks, Shared Routine
If there were any doubts about how closely aligned the couple is, their outfits answered them.
Klein and Baker stepped out in near-identical gym wear, both dressed in charcoal workout pants and black long-sleeve tops.
They kept things from getting too matchy by choosing different sneakers, but the message was clear: these two are very much on the same wavelength.
A Much Steadier Moment Than Last Year
The sighting marked a noticeable contrast to a tense moment Klein experienced last year in New York
. During an appearance at a gallery event in the East Village, the designer appeared shaken by flashing cameras and stumbled while trying to enter the venue.
This time around, he looked confident and steady on his feet, moving easily beside Baker without assistance.
A Relationship Kept Mostly Out of Sight
Despite being together for nearly a decade, Klein and Baker rarely put their relationship on display.
The legendary designer is famously private, seldom granting interviews—and when he does, he prefers to focus on his work rather than his personal life.
Public outings like this one are the exception, not the rule.
From Fashion Powerhouse to Quiet Retirement
Klein built one of the most recognizable fashion empires in the world before selling Calvin Klein Inc. in 2003.
The company was acquired by PVH Corp. in a deal valued at roughly $700 million.
Klein himself walked away with around $215 million and stayed on for several years as a consulting creative director before stepping back from the spotlight.
A Personal Life That’s Never Followed a Script
Over the years, Klein’s romantic life has drawn as much attention as his designs.
He has been married twice—first to Jayne Centre Klein and later to Kelly Rector.
After divorcing Rector, he went on to date Nick Gruber, a former adult film star who was decades younger than him.
That relationship ended in 2012, paving the way for his long-term partnership with Baker.
Kevin Baker’s Life Before Calvin Klein
Before becoming known as Klein’s partner, Baker made a name for himself in the modeling world, often appearing alongside his twin brother Joel.
The Baker brothers gained notoriety for bold shoots, including a fully nude campaign that cemented their edgy reputation within the industry.
A Night in New York That Sparked Concern
Last November, Klein and Baker stepped out in New York to celebrate the launch of photographer Steven Klein’s new book.
While the event itself was packed with high-profile guests, it was Klein’s moment at the entrance that drew attention.
Confused by flashing cameras, he stumbled more than once and appeared disoriented.
An Awkward Scene Caught on Camera
As Klein hesitated at the steps of the Brant Foundation gallery, Baker moved ahead and entered the building without looking back.
A security guard eventually stepped in to guide the designer inside.
At the time, Klein remarked that he “wasn’t expecting” the chaos at the entrance.
His representatives were contacted for comment shortly after.
What’s Next?
For now, Klein appears to be doing just fine—keeping active, maintaining his routine, and spending time with his partner away from the noise of fashion week crowds and red carpets.
Whether they stay out of the spotlight or make another rare appearance together, one thing is clear: Calvin Klein is still moving at his own pace.
