Bwari Council: INEC declares Gabaya of PDP winner

The Candidate of the People’s Democratic Party, PDP, Mr John Gabaya, has been declared the winner of the Chairmanship election in the Bwari Area Council of the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja.

The Returning Officer for Chairmanship Election in Bwari Area council, Professor Amuche Madu, declared Mr Gabaya who polled 13,045 to defeat his closest opponent Mr Haruna Shekwolo of the All Progressives Congress (APC) who scored 7697.

Mr Gabaya has returned as the elected candidate of the people have met the requirements of the Constitution and the electoral law.
