On Monday, President Muhammadu Buhari presented the digital money at the State House in Abuja, Nigeria’s capital.
The event was attended by Vice President Yemi Osinbajo, the governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN), Godwin Emefiele, and other dignitaries.
Following countries like China, the Bahamas, and Cambodia, Nigeria has become the first country in Africa and one of the first few in the world to adopt a digital currency.
