Aaditya Thackeray, a Maharashtra minister, criticized the Union Budget on Tuesday, describing it as a “election manifesto” ahead of the state’s approaching assembly elections.
When speaking to the media, the minister inquired as to what benefits the states will receive as a result of the GST hike.
Meanwhile, the Shiv Sena termed the Union Budget “extremely gloomy” on Tuesday, claiming that it does not provide any relief to the middle class and does not mention Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s objective of making India a “USD 5 trillion” economy.
The government has received Rs 45,500 crore from the telecom services till date, according to the budget document.
