The drama surrounding Brooklyn Beckham and his wife Nicola Peltz has taken another turn, with close friends of the couple speaking out to challenge claims that Nicola is somehow “controlling” Brooklyn.
In a move many describe as protective, pals have rushed to defend Brooklyn, insisting he is “very much his own man” and dismissing the accusations as outdated and offensive.
Family Feud Reaches New Heights
The tension between Brooklyn and his famous parents, David and Victoria Beckham, reportedly reached a boiling point last summer.
Sources say that Brooklyn, frustrated by what he saw as negative media briefings about Nicola, requested that his parents communicate with him only through his lawyers.
According to reports, some of these briefings implied that Brooklyn was a “hostage” in his marriage—a notion his friends and representatives strongly reject.
A source told The Mirror: “This narrative is so sexist and misogynistic.
He does not stand for his wife being vilified in this way. It’s a story as old as time: blame the woman for the man’s actions. It’s deeply insulting.”
Maintaining Family Ties Amid Tension
Despite the disagreement with his parents, Brooklyn has maintained regular contact with some family members, including all four of his grandparents.
Friends revealed that the communication through lawyers was simply a request—no legal action was taken—but it seemed necessary to protect Brooklyn and Nicola from unwanted public scrutiny.
One insider added: “David was told to speak to them via Schillings.
That was the only way for them to communicate.” This move may also explain why Brooklyn blocked his parents and siblings—Romeo, Cruz, and Harper—on social media just before Christmas, after noticing that they were interacting with his cooking posts.
The gesture was reportedly meant to signal that he and Nicola wanted more privacy.
Nicola Cleans Up Social Media
Following Brooklyn’s social media actions, Nicola also removed references to the Beckham family from her own accounts.
Among the deletions was a post celebrating Victoria Beckham’s birthday—a tribute that once appeared full of affection and warmth.
Back in 2024, Nicola had written: “Happy birthday to my beautiful mil @victoriabeckham I love you so much and love being your dance partner forever,” to which Victoria responded warmly.
Now, however, that post has vanished, reflecting the current strain between the couple and his family.
Hopes for a Resolution Remain
While publicists and friends on both sides have chosen not to comment further, sources hope the situation will eventually calm down.
For now, it seems Brooklyn and Nicola are focused on maintaining their household and protecting their marriage from outside narratives.
The question now is whether the Beckhams can repair this rift—or if Brooklyn and Nicola’s privacy will remain firmly defended against public speculation.
