Breaking: Rajouri’s Urban Development: Deputy Commissioner Inspects Ongoing Projects

In a recent developmental drive in the Rajouri town, Deputy Commissioner Om Prakash Bhagat has taken proactive steps to ensure the smooth progression of ongoing projects. His comprehensive inspection tour covered multiple areas and projects, marking a significant step towards urban development.

Identifying a Suitable Site for Multistory Parking

One of the primary focuses of Bhagat’s tour was to identify a suitable location for a new multistory parking facility. Understanding the increasing demands of the growing population, the establishment of the parking structure is key. He has instructed the Public Works Department (Roads & Buildings) to expedite the preparation of the Detailed Project Report (DPR) for this project.

Progress on the Vedanta Ashram Bridge

The Deputy Commissioner also visited the construction site of the Vedanta Ashram Bridge during his tour. He took note of the existing impediments to its construction and urged the responsible officer to find a resolution promptly to ensure the project’s timely completion.

Acceleration of the Circular Road Project

Furthermore, Bhagat reviewed the progress of the circular road project, emphasizing the importance of accelerating work. The road project, a significant part of the town’s infrastructure development, requires immediate attention, as per the Deputy Commissioner.

Addressing Public Concerns

Bhagat, in his public outreach camp at Loorkote Panchayat of block Doongi, listened to the people’s concerns about renovation of roads, staffing, healthcare infrastructure, water supply, and construction of motorable bridges. He assured the public that their concerns are registered and will be addressed through the intervention of respective departments. He further urged the public to actively engage with government schemes and programs for their welfare.

Accompanying Bhagat on his tour were several officials, including SE Hydraulics Devi Dayal, Tehsildar Rajouri Varinder Sharma, EXEN PWD (R&B) Rajouri Sardar Khan, EO MC Rajouri, and JEE Anshul Garg, ensuring a collaborative approach towards the town’s urban development.
