For the past two years, Brandi Glanville has been very open about her mysterious health battle, and now her story has caught the eye of some of the biggest names in dermatology.
The former Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star claims a parasite has left her face disfigured, and despite seeing dozens of doctors, the problem remains unresolved.
Most recently, she shocked fans by revealing her face was burned and covered in red patches after experimenting with Nair hair-removal cream earlier this month.
A Dermatologist Weighs In
Dr. Nicholas Perricone, a well-known dermatologist and author of The Beauty Molecule, weighed in on Brandi’s condition after hearing about her struggles.
While he has never treated her directly, he explained that chronic inflammation could be playing a major role in her ongoing issues.
“Many people never get diagnosed, and the low-grade inflammation can spread—even to the central nervous system,” he warned. Dr. Perricone stressed the importance of an anti-inflammatory diet and mild medical treatments, noting that such issues can be managed if handled properly.
He even went as far as to say he’d personally reach out to Brandi because, in his words, “the solution is so simple and there’s no reason for this to continue.”
Support From Another Familiar Face
Brandi has also received support from Botched surgeon Dr. Terry Dubrow, husband of fellow reality star Heather Dubrow.
Earlier this year, he performed biopsies on Brandi’s face, though the results have not yet been released.
Calling her case “complicated,” Dr. Dubrow admitted there isn’t an easy diagnosis but reassured fans that she is now working with the right specialists.
Optimistically, he said he believes Brandi has “amazing potential” to recover and return to the look fans remember.
Making Light of a Painful Situation
Despite the seriousness of her health concerns, Brandi hasn’t lost her sense of humor.
After burning her skin with Nair, she joked with her followers that they no longer need expensive chemical peels because she had found a $7 DIY alternative.
“Seven minutes don’t do it,” she quipped in her Instagram video, before recommending aloe vera, cucumber, and black tea as a homemade soothing spray.
Holding Onto Hope
Even as she battles pain, Brandi remains optimistic about what lies ahead.
In a candid update, she admitted she couldn’t wait to “make out with a hot boy or girl” once her health improves.
She also thanked infectious disease expert Dr. Michael Scoma for helping her finally get closer to answers, saying she feels hopeful for the first time in years. “I cannot wait to get out of this house and live again,” she told fans.
A Long, Costly Battle
Over the past two years, Brandi has tried countless treatments, from steroids and antibiotics to antivirals, spending more than $113,000 in the process.
Unfortunately, none of these efforts have resolved the lumps and swelling on her face, jaw, and neck.
She has suggested her condition could have been triggered by the COVID-19 vaccine or a parasite she contracted while filming Real Housewives Ultimate Girls Trip in Morocco—a claim her co-star Vicki Gunvalson echoed, saying the cast fell ill during their time there.
Extreme Measures and Alternative Treatments
To fight the alleged parasite, Brandi has been taking Ivermectin twice a month, undergoing colonics three times a week, and using fiber supplements to combat the digestive issues she says the parasite caused.
While fans remain divided on the cause of her condition, what’s clear is that Brandi isn’t giving up.
Between support from celebrity doctors, her own resilience, and her willingness to laugh through the pain, she’s determined to find her way back to health.
