After nearly a decade of public back-and-forth, Brad Pitt has finally spoken out about the long and difficult divorce from Angelina Jolie that officially wrapped up late last year.
But rather than stirring up old drama, the 61-year-old actor kept things surprisingly low-key about the whole ordeal.
In a recent interview with GQ magazine, released ahead of his new film about Formula 1 racing, Brad seemed to brush off the end of the legal battle as just another chapter closing quietly in his life.
Divorce Drama Wasn’t as Big a Deal as Fans Might Think
When asked about the finalization of his divorce, Pitt said, “No, I don’t think it was that major of a thing. Just something coming to fruition. Legally.”
It’s clear the actor wants to move past the headlines and focus on what’s next, rather than dwell on the nearly eight years of legal disputes that started when Angelina filed in 2016.
Their split has been one of the most talked-about celebrity breakups in recent memory, especially since the couple shares six children together — Maddox, Pax, Zahara, Shiloh, Knox, and Vivienne.
Life in the Spotlight Has Been a Constant Companion
Brad also acknowledged how his personal life has always been under the microscope.
“It’s been in the news for 30 years, bro,” he told GQ with a sense of humor.
“Or some version of my personal life, let’s put it that way.”
Clearly, the actor is no stranger to public attention, and he’s learned to live with it.
Currently, Brad is happily settled at his Los Angeles home with his girlfriend of nearly three years, jewelry executive Ines de Ramon, who’s 32.
When asked if his recent red carpet appearance with her at the 2024 British Grand Prix was a publicity move for his F1 movie, he laughed it off, saying, “No, dude, it’s not that calculated. Life just evolves. Relationships evolve.”
F1 Movie Reignites Brad’s Passion for Acting
Brad’s upcoming movie, F1, set to release on June 27, has brought a fresh wave of excitement to his career.
He admitted to GQ that making the film helped him rediscover the joy of acting after many years in the industry.
“Man, I’ve been doing this for a while and was wondering: Do I have more stories to tell? Do I have anything to add? Is there still any excitement I can find? It just reinvigorated the whole thing again for me,” he shared.
Back Together and Strong with Ines After Time Apart
Following a nearly three-month filming stint in New Zealand for his survival thriller Heart of the Beast, Brad has returned home to Los Angeles and reunited with Ines.
According to sources close to the couple, they are happier than ever, and rumors of a breakup couldn’t be further from the truth.
“Brad is happy to be back in Los Angeles with his lady, he is very in love with her,” a source told DailyMail.com. “They are doing better than ever.
The breakup rumors are not true at all. They are solid.”
Filming Survival Thriller in Stunning New Zealand Locations
Brad’s new survival thriller, Heart of the Beast, has him playing a former Navy SEAL stranded in the wilderness with his retired military dog.
Filming took place in New Zealand’s breathtaking Queenstown region and the world-renowned Milford Sound, which doubled as the Alaskan setting for the movie.
On set, Brad was seen dressed in rugged gear, camping and kayaking as he prepared to portray this intense, rugged role.
Upcoming Press Tour and Star-Studded Premieres
Soon, Brad will hit the road again to promote F1 with premieres lined up in New York City on June 16 and in London at Leicester Square on June 23.
The film also stars Javier Bardem and Tobias Menzies, adding more star power to the high-octane drama about the world of Formula One racing.
A New Chapter Away from the Spotlight
With his personal life now quietly stable and his career energized by exciting new projects, Brad Pitt seems ready to turn the page.
Away from the long shadows of his past marriage and media frenzy, he’s focusing on what truly matters — love, friendship, family, and telling new stories on the big screen.
