Bill Clinton fires back at Donald Trump over his repeated appearance in Jeffrey Epstein files released by the Department of Justice in the United States

Former President Bill Clinton didn’t hold back when pressed about his repeated appearances in the latest release of the Jeffrey Epstein files.

The 42nd president’s response was short, sassy, and aimed squarely at Donald Trump, highlighting the ongoing tension between the two political heavyweights.

Epstein Files Release Sparks Controversy

On Friday, the Department of Justice dumped hundreds of thousands of pages of documents connected to Jeffrey Epstein.

The files arrived with little context, no dates, and no background, leaving the public and media to parse through a mass of images and records.

While no one pictured is accused of wrongdoing, the documents have sparked intense scrutiny, particularly for Clinton, whose interactions with Epstein—most notably a poolside photo with convicted sex trafficker Ghislaine Maxwell—have drawn attention.

Clinton’s Team Strikes Back

Clinton’s team acted quickly, issuing a statement suggesting that the way the files were released seemed designed to “shield” certain interests while putting the spotlight on him.

When approached by the Daily Mail on Saturday morning, Clinton’s spokesperson leaned into humor and deflection, responding simply: “Have you seen the Trump photos?”

Trump Also Features in the Files

Trump himself appears in the files, although a preliminary review by the Daily Mail shows most of these images were previously public and his presence is limited.

The former president has largely remained silent on the release, instead steering public conversation toward less controversial topics, including his wife Melania and the recent Jake Paul fight.

Trump Focuses on Entertainment Over Scrutiny

Online, Trump continued to divert attention from the files.

On Truth Social Friday night, he praised Jake Paul for his performance against Anthony Joshua, calling it “fantastic entertainment” and applauding Paul’s courage and stamina against a bigger opponent.

There was no mention of the Epstein documents in his post.

White House Defends Trump Administration

The Trump administration defended its handling of the Epstein documents in a statement to the Daily Mail.

White House spokesperson Abigail Jackson argued that the administration has been “the most transparent in history,” emphasizing the release of thousands of pages of documents, cooperation with House Oversight Committee subpoenas, and Trump’s calls for further investigations into Epstein’s Democrat connections.

Jackson also questioned Democratic figures like Hakeem Jeffries and Stacey Plaskett, pointing to their alleged post-conviction interactions with Epstein.

What Lies Ahead

As the public digests the latest Epstein files, both Clinton and Trump are navigating intense media scrutiny in very different ways—Clinton with pointed humor, Trump with diversion toward entertainment and political narratives.

The debate over accountability, transparency, and the figures featured in the documents is far from over, leaving both former and current presidents under the spotlight.
