Weddings are supposed to be all about fresh starts, but for singer Ben Ofoedu, his big day came with a side of old grievances.

Just after saying “I do” to his new bride, Vanessa Brown, at the stunning Rose Castle in Cumbria, he launched into a very public attack on his former long-term partner — the original Vanessa in his life, Vanessa Feltz.

The timing caught everyone off guard. Instead of just celebrating love, Ofoedu used the moment to air bitter feelings about his past relationship, sparking a whole new wave of drama.

A Stunning Venue and a Not-So-Subtle Message

Ben, dressed in a cream wedding suit, spoke exclusively to the press shortly after his ceremony.

While standing beside his new wife, he reflected not just on his joy, but on his regrets.

And top of that list? His 17-year relationship with Vanessa Feltz.

“Never again will I do that,” he said bluntly. “I wasted 17 years of my life.”

He went on to say he no longer believes in long engagements, implying that his previous relationship had dragged on without purpose.

His message was clear: don’t pretend to commit if you’re not serious.

“Let them fly,” he added.

Vanessa Feltz Keeps Her Silence – But She’s Not Happy

While Ben’s remarks were loud and pointed, Vanessa Feltz hasn’t responded publicly.

But according to those close to her, she’s not staying quiet out of peace—she’s staying quiet out of sheer frustration.

A friend of Feltz shared that she’s “furious” Ofoedu continues to mention her name and use their shared history to boost his profile.

“She just wishes he could move on too,” the friend said. “Vanessa absolutely hates being used for his publicity.”

Old Wounds Reopened by Past Interviews

This isn’t the first time Ofoedu has stirred things up.

Last year, he gave another headline-grabbing interview about his relationship with reality star Precious Muir, claiming that Feltz “stole the best years” of his life and used him as “eye candy.”

That particular remark hit a nerve — especially because Feltz had to leave a West End performance of Back to the Future early after unexpectedly bumping into Ofoedu and Muir at the same venue.

The pain of their breakup clearly runs deep.

A Turbulent End to a Long Relationship

Feltz and Ofoedu split in 2023 after she discovered he had been unfaithful.

In one dramatic account, Feltz described how she jumped out of a moving taxi the moment he confessed, unable to listen to another word.

What followed was a flurry of media stories, subtle jabs, and open wounds that haven’t quite healed for either side.

While Ben appeared to move on quickly—dating Muir, then falling for Vanessa Brown—Feltz found herself navigating single life with more difficulty, even joining Celebs Go Dating in an attempt to open her heart again.

A Fast-Tracked Romance with “Vanessa 2.0”

In February, Ofoedu proposed to 29-year-old Vanessa Brown, just one month after they started dating.

The proposal happened in New York’s Central Park, right before Valentine’s Day.

Their wedding, held last week, featured 72 guests and plenty of celebrity sparkle.

Boyzone’s Shane Lynch served as best man, joined by Keith Duffy, S Club 7’s Bradley McIntosh, and 911’s Lee Brennan.

Guests sipped on £33-a-bottle champagne and were treated to a £7,500 drone show that told the couple’s whirlwind love story, which began back

stage at a Carlisle gala.

A New Chapter, But an Old Name Lingers

Despite saying he’d never mention Vanessa Feltz’s name again, Ofoedu couldn’t resist dropping hints.

“This is the finale of the chapter that was 17 years of my life,” he said, clearly referencing her.

He also hinted that he had finally found the woman who would proudly take his surname.

“Feels like I’ve been waiting for this moment all my life,” he said with emotion.

Behind Closed Doors, Friends Mock His Ex

Adding to the bitterness, friends of Ofoedu reportedly refer to Feltz as “1.0”—as in, the outdated version of Vanessa.

“It all feels like Vanessa is the ‘old one’,” one of her associates said, calling the nickname “mean.”

Even if Ofoedu wants to erase the past, those around him seem intent on keeping it part of the story.

Is the Public Fallout Ever Going to End?

With both sides wounded, and only one of them willing to stay silent, the drama between Ben Ofoedu and Vanessa Feltz continues to play out publicly—despite one half trying to leave it behind.

Feltz may not be clapping back on camera or via social media, but make no mistake: she sees the headlines, and she knows what’s going on.

The question now is whether Ben will finally close that old chapter—or keep using it to fuel the next one.
