While the buzz around Ben Affleck’s split from Jennifer Lopez continues to swirl, the actor recently took a meaningful step back into familiar territory — with his first family.

Over the weekend, Affleck was spotted at a Boston Red Sox game enjoying quality time with his ex-wife Jennifer Garner and their two youngest kids.

A Homegrown Outing in Boston

The 52-year-old actor returned to his Massachusetts roots, attending the game at Boston’s iconic Fenway Park.

Though Affleck was born in California, he spent much of his childhood in Cambridge, just outside of Boston — making this more than just a casual sporting event.

It was a homecoming of sorts, with some very special company.

Affleck sat alongside Garner, 53, and their kids Fin, 16, and Samuel, 13.

Their eldest daughter, 19-year-old Violet, didn’t attend.

Still, the energy between the former couple and their kids was upbeat and united.

Casual Looks and Team Spirit

Keeping it low-key, Ben wore a tan button-up shirt paired with a green Red Sox cap, a nod to his longtime hometown loyalty.

Garner also embraced the team vibe with a red-and-white striped tee — classic Sox colors — and kept her hair tied back in a ponytail.

The four of them looked at ease together, sharing laughs, chatting casually, and at one point even making it onto the stadium’s jumbotron.

It wasn’t just about baseball — it was a rare, joyful moment of blended family bonding.

A Co-Parenting Team That Works

Affleck and Garner were married from 2005 to 2018 and, despite their divorce, have always made co-parenting a top priority.

Whether it’s airport pickups, birthdays, or holidays, they’ve consistently shown up as a team for their kids.

Just last month, Garner gave Ben a heartfelt Father’s Day shoutout on social media.

She posted a nostalgic photo of him cradling one of their kids as a newborn, captioned sweetly: “Happy Father’s Day to 3 people’s favorite landing spot.”

Support During the J.Lo Divorce Storm

While Affleck’s recent split from Jennifer Lopez made headlines, it’s Garner who’s remained quietly supportive behind the scenes.

In fact, Ben reportedly spent the holidays with Garner and the kids as his marriage to Lopez unraveled.

Jennifer Lopez officially filed for divorce in August 2024 — right on their second wedding anniversary — and their settlement was finalized in January.

Since then, Lopez has seemingly poured her emotions into music.

Lopez Channels Heartbreak into New Music

At a recent exclusive listening party for 30 fans, J.Lo debuted six new songs — one of which raised eyebrows.

Titled Wreckage Of You, the emotional ballad appears to reflect her side of the Affleck breakup.

A fan at the event, Edgardo Luis Rivera, shared that Lopez wrote the song just two weeks ago after a long day of rehearsals.

According to him, she spoke openly about how tough the past year had been, both professionally and personally — even canceling her tour to focus on her own healing.

Another attendee described the song as deeply personal and empowering, capturing the pain of letting go but also the strength found in moving on.

Empowerment in the Lyrics

Lyrics from Wreckage Of You include:
“The love I want, the love I need, it starts in me…”
“Thank you for the scars you left on my heart… I won’t fall apart because of who we are, but your broken parts.”

On stage, Lopez didn’t hold back either.

She introduced the song during the kickoff of her Up All Night summer tour in Spain, saying it came to her during a sleepless night.

She belted out lines like:
“Because of you, I am stronger, wiser, better than I’ve ever been.”

A New Chapter Ahead

In addition to the new music, Lopez recently announced she’ll return to Las Vegas for a new residency, Up All Night Live, starting this December at The Colosseum at Caesars Palace.

Meanwhile, Jennifer Garner is moving forward in her own love life, too.

She’s still going strong with boyfriend John Miller — and according to insiders, he’s practically living with her now.

Affleck Reflects on Parenting and the Past

Back in March, Affleck opened up in a GQ interview about his evolving relationship with Garner and their shared commitment to parenting.

He praised Garner as a “wonderful” co-parent and shared how they’ve always made it a point to be honest with their kids — especially in the face of celebrity rumors.

“We used to say, ‘You know this isn’t always true,’ when the kids would see something wild on a tabloid stand,” he said.

“They’d read about having 15 siblings or whatever — and we’d just laugh it off.”

What matters most to him now? “I know what’s going on in my life,” he said.

“And more importantly, my kids know.”
