Belfast depot seizes shipment destined for County Down

Details of the seizure notice issued after a package addressed to a County Down address was seized at a depot in Belfast.

A courier service with a Belfast depot detected the following veterinary medication.

After then, the Department of Agriculture, Environment, and Rural Affairs held the merchandise before seizing it (DAERA).

This package was sent from the United States and was addressed to a residence in County Down. 100 Wormal Phenothiazine Dibutyltin Dialurate Piperazine Dewormer Tablets were included in the package.

This product was created with poultry in mind and is not an approved veterinary treatment in Great Britain or Northern Ireland.
The drug was confiscated in accordance with Veterinary Medicines Regulations 2013 Regulation 25 (Importation of Unauthorized Veterinary Medicinal Products).
