CP Abiodun Alabi, the recently appointed Commissioner of Police for Lagos State, has once again admonished officers and men of the command against tarnishing his hard-won reputation via unprofessional behavior.
The fresh warning came from the Commissioner of Police while speaking to Heads of Departments and Sectional Heads in the Department of Finance and Administration (DFA) at the Command Headquarters in Ikeja.
Concerned about citizens’ rights, the CP also urged Heads of Investigation Sections against excessive detention of detainees in their custody, and that criminal cases must be resolved quickly.
Similarly, he warned administrative office personnel and others to always manage information effectively and be guided by the oath of secrecy when handling official correspondence and other matters.
In what seemed a piece of fatherly advice, CP Alabi admonished the personnel not to work at cross purposes but to ensure inter-departmental and inter-sectional harmony.
