In today’s media landscape, some stories explode instantly, dominating headlines for weeks. Others, equally explosive, barely see the light of day.

The recent confirmation about Ashley Biden’s personal diary falls into that second category — a revelation that should be front-page news but has been largely swept under the rug.

The daughter of President Joe Biden, Ashley, has now confirmed in court documents that her private journal — containing deeply personal and troubling entries — is real.

And yet, you’d be hard-pressed to find mainstream coverage focusing on what’s actually inside it.

What Ashley Wrote — and Why It Matters

Back in 2019, Ashley, then 37, was in rehab and later moved to a halfway house in Florida.

While there, she kept a diary detailing her struggles with addiction, emotional pain, and disturbing childhood memories.

She later left the diary under a mattress when she moved out.

It was eventually stolen in 2020 by a Florida woman, who not only leaked its contents online but also sold it for $40,000.

For years, the diary’s authenticity was questioned by many in the media — often dismissed as another politically motivated hoax.

But now, with Ashley’s own words confirming it’s genuine, the contents raise serious questions.

The Troubling Childhood Memories

In one July 2019 entry, Ashley described being “hyper-sexualized at a young age” and wondered if she had been molested.

She recalled “showers with my dad (probably not appropriate)” and “being turned on when I wasn’t supposed to be.”

She also wrote about early sexual experiences with friends and cousins, and undergoing treatment for “sexual trauma.”

In another passage, she detailed behaviors like “beating my vagina due to overhearing parents having sex” and feeling emotionally neglected by her mother.

The language is raw, unsettling, and paints a troubling picture of her childhood.

How the Media Has Responded — or Not

If these entries were from a Trump family member, the reaction would likely be swift and relentless — nonstop coverage, investigative specials, and daily panel debates.

Instead, the focus from most outlets, including The New York Times, has been on the theft of the diary rather than its contents.

When the thief was recently sentenced, the Times highlighted the “brazen scheme” but didn’t print a single detail from the entries themselves.

This pattern mirrors the way Hunter Biden’s laptop story was handled — coverage that focused on process, not substance.

Ashley’s Own Confirmation

In a letter to the court, Ashley called the diary “my personal private journal” and expressed the lasting harm of knowing its pages are online forever. While she condemned the theft — and rightfully so — she did not deny any of the content.

Her confirmation now leaves the public with verified material that suggests possible abuse, family dysfunction, and deeply inappropriate behavior from the man who is now President of the United States.

A History of Allegations Against Joe Biden

These diary entries aren’t emerging in a vacuum.

Joe Biden has long faced accusations of inappropriate physical behavior from women — from unsolicited touching to alleged sexual assault.

One of the most serious claims came from Tara Reade, a former Senate staffer, who said Biden pinned her against a wall in 1993 and penetrated her with his fingers.

Reade told multiple people about the incident at the time, but the media coverage during the 2020 election cycle was muted compared to how similar accusations against others have been treated.

Biden has denied Reade’s account and brushed off other complaints as misunderstandings in changing “cultural norms.”

The Biden Family’s Pattern of Scandals

The diary adds to a string of troubling incidents involving members of the Biden family.

From naked selfies of Joe’s brother Frank appearing on a porn site (which he admitted were real) to Hunter Biden’s crack use, sexual escapades, and explicit communications with employees, there’s a pattern of controversy.

Hunter even fathered a child with a stripper — a little girl the Biden family initially refused to acknowledge.

And yet, many of these stories have been downplayed or ignored by mainstream news outlets.

Why This Silence Is Dangerous

Regardless of political leaning, the contents of Ashley Biden’s diary deserve the same scrutiny that any high-profile family would face.

The fact that these allegations come from the president’s own daughter makes them even more serious.

The real question is why so few journalists are willing to press Joe Biden directly about the claims — particularly the “showers with my dad” entry. With the first presidential debate approaching in June 2024, will any moderator have the courage to ask?
