What was meant to be a smooth budget flight to Spain ended in absolute mayhem when two British stag party members had to be dragged off a Ryanair plane by armed police.
The incident, which unfolded on a flight from Leeds Bradford to Alicante, left passengers stunned and frustrated after what they described as a “carnage-filled journey.”
Rowdy Behavior Mid-Flight
Passengers said the men, who appeared drunk even before boarding, quickly became disruptive once the plane was in the air.
Their loud and aggressive behavior unsettled those on board, and the cabin crew eventually decided they needed backup waiting at the destination.
By the time the plane touched down in Alicante at 7:22 pm, Spanish Guardia Civil officers were already on standby.
Arrest Caught on Camera
Footage taken by shocked passengers shows the dramatic moment officers stormed the cabin.
One of the men even tried to wrestle with police, at one point grabbing an officer around the neck.
As the struggle unfolded, passengers shouted insults at the unruly men, with one urging police to “knock him out” while others labeled him an “absolute disgrace.”
Someone else shouted in exasperation: “Get off the f***ing plane!”
Ryanair’s Zero-Tolerance Response
Speaking after the incident, Ryanair confirmed their crew had called for police support ahead of landing, citing their strict zero-tolerance stance toward unruly passengers.
A spokesperson stressed the airline’s commitment to keeping flights safe and stress-free, making it clear that disruptive behavior won’t be tolerated.
Not the First Mid-Air Disruption
This isn’t the first time Ryanair has faced passenger chaos in recent months.
Back in April, another flight—this one traveling from Manchester to Corfu—had to make an emergency diversion to Bologna, Italy, after two passengers became violent on board.
Reports say the pair initially sat apart but later moved seats together, sparking an altercation that forced the pilot to change course.
Italian police boarded the aircraft on landing, carrying one woman off the plane as she kicked and struggled against officers.
Passengers Left Frustrated
In both incidents, fellow travelers described the ordeal as exhausting, with one passenger summing up the mood after the Alicante flight: “Everyone was fed up with them by the end. It was carnage.”
What Happens Next?
Both cases are now in the hands of local police in Spain and Italy, who will determine whether charges will be filed.
For Ryanair, the message remains the same: unruly passengers will be removed, no matter where or when it happens.
