On January 16, South African singer and actress Anlia Etzebeth, along with her husband, Springboks lock Eben Etzebeth, celebrated a major milestone: their daughter’s first birthday.
A Special Celebration for a Special Little One
The couple shared a heartwarming tribute to their baby girl, marking the occasion with a Winnie the Pooh-themed celebration.
Anlia took to Instagram to post a touching Reel, capturing the moments of joy.
In the post, she wrote a beautiful message:
“Our little wild flower.
You are a whole 1 year old! May you forever remain the bubbling barefoot little girl.
May you leave traces on a dirt road that runs along rivers.
May you always smell the wildflowers and the Summer rains kiss you gently.
May the cattle greet you, and the animals pursue you.
May you find a rainbow behind every cloud. Thank you for the best year of our lives.”
A Glimpse Into Their Family Life
The Etzebeths’ journey into parenthood began after their wedding in February 2023 at the picturesque La Paris Estate in Franschhoek, Western Cape.
Shortly after the Springboks’ victory over the All Blacks to win the 2023 Rugby World Cup, Anlia shared the news of her pregnancy.
Their daughter arrived in January 2024 in Umhlanga, KwaZulu-Natal, where the family resides, as Eben plays for The Sharks rugby team.
The couple’s growing family is in good company, as fellow Springboks Faf de Klerk and Handre Pollard also welcomed their first children shortly after.
Celebrating Their Growing Family
Eben and Anlia’s first year with their daughter has been filled with joy and cherished memories.
As proud parents, they’ve embraced the changes that come with raising their little one while balancing their busy lives.
