ANGLICAN CHURCH SOCIETY DONATES BEDSHEETS TO MCC AJAH
Members of the Elders Society of the Anglican Church, on Monday, donated 52 bedsheets to the Maternal and Child Hospital, Eti-Osa, for use by the patients on admission at the facility.
Dr. Mustapha Quadri, the Medical Director of MCC Eti-Osa, receiving the items on behalf of the management, thanked and appreciated the efforts of the Society, stressing that the gesture is a demonstration of their love and commitment to the community.
He stated that the hospital will soon launch its “Friends of the Hospital” initiative and would be looking forward to the support of the Elders and others towards achieving the set goals and objectives, advising that the forum should encourage like-minded organisations in the area to also support MCC-Eti Osa in enhancing its service delivery.
In her remarks, the Apex Nurse and Assistant Director of Nursing Services, MCC, Eti-Osa, Saidat Oladele, also expressed her appreciation to the Society, noting that it is rare to find societies or groups who still put government hospitals into consideration when giving out things.
She thanked them for the donation, maintaining that such magnanimous gesture would encourage other members of the public and organisations to do same.
Earlier, the leader of the representatives of the Elders Society, who presented the items on behalf of the group, Mrs. Yetunde Adeyemo, said the reason for the gesture is to give back to the society in line with the objectives of the group.
